Computer Parts
I don't carry an inventory of many parts, but I can help you pick out the right part and install it for you. Or I can build a custom computer to suit your specific needs.
These are the parts stores I frequently get parts from:
More RAM?
The most common method to improve speed is to upgrade or add more RAM. The analogy I use is that RAM is a horse carrying a wagon of Programs. Two ways to make the cart go faster, add another horse (RAM) or lighten the load. We prefer to lighten the load on the computer, instead of adding RAM.
The main reason I do that is because not all RAM is created equally. Continuing with the analogy, some RAM are clydesdales, while others are shetlands.
There are many factors when choosing RAM. What are the timings? Will you use the primary slots or both? What clock speed will work best with your CPU? These are some of the questions that should be answered before you buy RAM.
